Event Overview
The Sonoma County R-Hoops Summer Basketball Camp is a long-standing youth program sponsored by the Sonoma County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association. Since its founding in 1997, R-Hoops has provided local youth with a safe, structured, and positive environment to learn the game of basketball while building important life skills.
About the Program
R-Hoops is more than just a basketball camp—it is a community-based program focused on mentorship, leadership, and personal growth. Each summer, local deputies and volunteers come together to coach, guide, and connect with young participants from across Sonoma County.
Through teamwork and structured activities, youth learn:
Discipline and accountability
Communication and teamwork
Confidence and leadership skills
The program creates meaningful opportunities for young people to interact with law enforcement in a positive and supportive setting.
